Today is a two-fer of a special day.
Not only is it Thanksgiving (turkey and stuffing and pie, oh my!), it's also the 15th anniversary of the date that JoyDad and I tied the knot, way back in 1993.
Thanksgiving itself landed on November 25th that year. We held the rehearsal and dinner on Friday the 26th, then the wedding on Saturday the 27th, a wintry Chicago day with just a few snowflakes.
It's been quite the ride ever since!
Fifteen years, and so many blessings, too many to name. But we are particularly thankful for Joy, and Rose, and for one another.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and especially to JoyDad, whom I love so VERY much!
Now it's off to bake those pies...

Fifteen years... My how time flies when you are having fun.
It has been a wild ride, with lots of ups and downs and twists and turns that I never would have anticipated. It's been great to have someone to share it all with.
And yes, we do have a lot to be thankful for....
happy anniversary!!!! (and a wonderful thanksgiving)
Seriously, you too: get a room.
Just kidding. I think you are both adorable, and I especially love your PDBA (public displays of blog affection). Mazel Tov to you both, and Happy Thanksgiviversary!
... Er, did somebody say 'pie'?
Happy Anniversary!
Happy anniversary and Thanksgiving to you both!
happy anniversary!!! hope your day was special!
Awww, Happy Thanksgivi-versary!
Yes, Mama Mara, pie was mentioned! And I must say, JoyMama did a wonderful job on the pies again this year! Sorry you couldn't be here to taste them. Maybe, if there is any left by the time the JoyFamily gets home, you might be able to sneak over and grab a bite! LOL! Happy day after turkey day to everyone here. I enjoy reading all of your comments that you share with JoyMama and JoyDad!

Yes, Happy Thanksgivi-versary! And I love, love, love your "PDBA"! =)
Congrats to you both! I've given JoyMama an award - come over and pick it up! No slight to you JoyDad - she could not be a mommy without you!

How is it possible that it's been fifteen years? I mean, it's one thing to be married to JoyDad. He's a good egg.
But having to put up with the rest of us? That's just not right. :)
Well, y'all tried your best to scare JoyMama away the first time I brought her home to meet the family. But she proved to be tougher than she looks... Little did I know that she would eventually accept your challenge to eat fire.
