Starting in just 2 weeks, I'll be starting a one-year leadership-training and interdisciplinary study program, as a parent of a child with special needs, at a prestigious university center for developmental disabilities.
I even have preliminary arrangements in place for a babysitter to help shake free the hours that I'll need to get this extra set of spinning plates into motion.

PERFECT photo accompaniment! I'm VERY happy for you - 'cause I know you wanted this.
I'm just hoping the blog plate stays spinning. I may have a little Joy dependency thing going on here.

Great news! Congratulations!!
Congratulations!
Thanks for the cheers, all!
Barbara, I may have to blog-budget at least a little -- perhaps I might not be able to burst forth with the kind of sprees I sometimes do of daily postings. My feeling, though, is that the blog is such an important part of what brought me to this point, an expression of one aspect of parent-leadership in action -- perhaps I can wangle some form of program-credit for reflecting at Elvis Sightings on my program experiences? There's enough of an independent-study vibe about this thing to make that feel possible, but we shall see.
Yay! You should definitely try to get some credit for the blog. You just need to pitch it the right way.
Congrats! :)
YOU GO, GIRL! FLY!!
Yes You Can!!! Yes You Can!!
I look forward to sharing in what you learn from this!!

I am delighted! So, so pleased for you.
Not at all surprised. The people who interviewed you were no doubt dancing with joy at having acquired such a gem for their program.
That is fantastic! Congratulations!
Awesome! I'm very proud of you. You will be a great addition to the program. Do keep us posted on the blog about how it is going.
