Photo Wednesday: Jackson Pollock Edition

Behold, the aesthetic force of a single handful of butternut bisque!

Pollock Butternut Bisque

At least I haven't heard her singing "threedy boogie college"... not yet, anyway.

Update: As requested in the comments, here's the recipe for the "paint"/butternut bisque. It's from a lovely cookbook called Simply in Season.

Mmmm! Love me some butternut bisque! Please post a recipe! Hehe.

Yea. That would be a tough trade-off. Some nice singing for using bodily effusion instead of food for art.

Hubby and I actually like the Pollock-style of art...can appreciate it better if it is applied on canvas for permanent keeping. heh.

Just copied it to a document and saved to my desktop. Hubby and I had this soup at a luncheon last week and it was delish!

Thanks! And to think, I might never have gotten this recipe if it had not been for Joy. ;)

Barbara,

I added a handful of cherry tomatoes to the soup to give it a bit more oomph (that's a technical term...). And looking at the recipe now, I think the next time I make it I'll sub in heavy cream for the evapo milk...

Ooomph has meaning to me, JD. I WILL add the tomatoes AND be substituting all the dairy as my system responds to that kind of oomph.

Sometimes I take a chance on food when I eat out, the butternut soup we had last week must of been dairy-free. :)
