The Funniest Thing in the World

Want to make Joy double over with giggles?

Take a pinch of shredded parmesan cheese between your fingers and let it sprinkle down over a plateful of food.

Funniest thing in the world!

Even better is that she gets all of us to laugh with her! She anticipates the delight, waits for the cheese to come out of its container, and signs "more" through her gales of laughter. (It's a good thing we like parmesan!)

I don't have a clue why the sprinkling of parmesan cheese should elicit such a reaction, but the giggles are simply priceless.

Love it!
When our oldest was a toddler, he loved to shake grated parmesan out of the container. He's almost 11 now, but still calls it "snow cheese".
Best giggles in the world are the giggles of delight in simple things!

I just discovered your blog, and Joy sounds like a wonderful girl!! I just love this story about the parmesan cheese, and I am smiling just thinking about the music of her laughter. Great story. :-)

You know, we save the containers and use them for all sorts of bug homes and outdoor rock collecting, etc.

Too funny!

Hi everybody -- actually it's not exactly snow-like -- looks more like coconut shreds. JoyDad and I became parmesan snobs at some point in our relationship (perhaps the Food Network had something to do with it). We buy the stuff in chunks, shred it, and store it in faux-tupperware, because we may be cheese snobs but not tupperware snobs... LOL! So I don't know what Joy's relating it to. But whatever it is, it's the funniest thing in the world!
